Loft Storage

I opened up the loft space above the garage to explore - and found it uninsulated with decent headroom down the center - quite practical to use for additional storage. I added a wooden folding loft latter (later replaced with a much better metal version) I floored the central area in particle board raised up 1" to allow the existing wiring to run underneath. I mounted utility lights with a light switch - in series off the garage lights

I also mounted shelving between the roof member bracing supported on lateral 2"x4" studs - this created full depth 24" shelves using 2' x 3' particle board sheets. Utilitarian for sure and all unfinished but useful space - that gets very well used.
