Projects in Our House in Lakewood
Moved to Phoenix, AZ USA in winter 1989 - By spring we moved into our 1st USA
home in Lakewood - a new, small (1700 sq ft) 3 bedroom home - it had just been
finished and had no landscaping.

1989 Project: Landscape front yard
Trench yard for irrigation & lay irrigation tube & valves/heads
Install landscape fabric and ~10 ton of crushed granite
Installed brick lawn edging, brick front walkway, sod &
a stucco covered block wall & large planter
Installed landscape lighting, various shrubs
Installed 3 large Mexican Fan Palm trees on corner of lot
Project: Landscape Rear Yard

Contractors installed brick lawn edging, concrete slabs & sod
Installed block wall planter in side yard
Project: Install Whole House Water Softener
Route water supply pipe from front water supply to rear yard

Installed water softener loop and system with bypass
Installed in roof TV reception antenna

220v Socket outlets for UK appliances
Install separate wiring and USA 220v sockets through hous
Installed motion activated security lighting at both ends of
side yard
Project: Built Side yard swimming Pool & Spa
Contractors demolished block wall panel built pool/spa w/ cool deck
patio
Pool with custom planter and water scuppers plus corner seating

Installed Pool/Spa Equipment with in floor cleaning system
Gas & electric supply lines plumbed to
front of house
Built stucco block walls around pool equipment,
rear retaining wall and fire-pit patio.
Installed 120v lighting on top of rear block retaining walls
Installed new side gate access
Project: Built in pedestal BBQ with hard plumbed gas
line
Installed pedestal gas BBQ concreted into ground
Connected stubbed out gas line direct to BBQ

under cabinet kitchen lighting:
Installed wood blanking & 3 fluorescent switched fixtures under cabin

Built redwood benches surrounding stand alone fire-pit patio
