New Hood Foam:

My hood foam had shrunk a little and was peeling from one edge. It was basically beyond repair since it was flaking off as I tried to re-glue it.

This is another case where even the stock new replacement foam looks very poor quality. Based on seeing others work I purchase some 3/8" Nitrile foam from Wickes Aircraft Supply. This is designed for aircraft bulkheads and is rated fireproof and for 300F operation. I installed this in both the large and small hood openings and dressed it up with Porsche logo decals in vinyl.
